About Edward:
I’m a Minnesota-based therapist currently practicing in Woodbury, Minnesota. I have been in the health and human services field for over a decade. I have been practicing outpatient psychotherapy full-time for the last five years.
I entered the health and human services field after earning my bachelor’s degree in business and economics. I obtained a part-time job working at a drug and alcohol treatment center in the summer of 2015 (at the time, it was called New Beginnings at Waverly.) I learned then that I really liked working with others in a direct, face-to-face capacity, and trying to be helpful to others facing really significant challenges. That job only lasted about ten months, but my desire to be helpful and my passion for serving others professionally has remained with me since that time. Since then, I’ve worked a variety of other mental health jobs and earned my Master of Social Work degree. I was also inspired by a former therapist to become a therapist. He was really helpful to me at the time that I saw him, and I developed the belief I could help people in a similar fashion.
When I am not working, I like to spend time with my family. When I am not working or spending time with my family, I am an avid reader (I completed 41 books in 2024, a lifetime record!) and an amateur hiker. I am also a person in longstanding recovery.
